Why we started
Traditional banking was never designed for independent workers. We built Krostio because 1099 income shouldn't be a barrier to financial access.
Our story
Krostio started in 2024 when our founder realized that the traditional credit system had left behind an entire generation of workers. Gig workers, freelancers, and independent contractors generate reliable income across multiple platforms — yet banks and lenders still evaluate them using a credit bureau model designed for W-2 employees.
We built Krostio to bridge that gap. By connecting directly to gig platforms through Argyle's secure API, we create verified income reports that lenders actually trust. Not a PDF you upload yourself — data pulled straight from the source, normalized, and formatted for underwriting.
Today, Krostio powers income verification for over 500 financial institutions and serves 10,000+ gig workers. We're a DBA of SuprBuild, LLC based in Wyoming, and we're just getting started.
